About
Tony was born in Redmond, Oregon on September 30, 1999, and was the child of Beth Mary DeVaul and Delbert Blaine Prindel. Tony began their life in Oregon and relocated to Washington in 2006. Tony was an extremely smart, talented, and kind individual. Tony had a passion for helping others and expressed their desire to become a foster parent one day. Tony also had a wonderful talent for computers, technology was a huge part of day to day skills and interactions. They worked as a Systems Analyst Supervisor at the Willapa Harbor Hospital, where they expressed that it was the greatest job that they had ever had, with the best coworkers they have ever worked with. Tony enjoyed spending time online with friends, connecting with others as far as Australia. Most importantly, spending time with their best friend, Seth.

Public Hospital District No. 1 of Pacific County was formed in 1946 and consisted of Willapa Harbor Hospital in South Bend and Ocean Beach Hospital in Ilwaco. Willapa Harbor Hospital’s Alder St., location was built in 1954 to meet the needs of North Pacific County residents. In 1996, Pacific County Public Hospital District No. 2 was formed dba Willapa Harbor Hospital servicing the people of Northern Pacific County and surrounding areas. In 2000, the hospital entered into a major upgrade and expansion project, which included a new ER and a significant expansion of the laboratory and admissions area.
Over the last few years, they have upgraded much of our radiology equipment, including a new Cat Scan (CT) unit, 3D Mammography unit, and Ultrasound unit all in digital format. they now have state-of-the-art radiology and laboratory equipment to assist our physicians in diagnosing patient medical problems.
On July 1, 2013, the hospital purchased the Pacific Family Health Center from Dr. Michael Buben. In February 2019, the hospital purchased Willapa Family Medicine from Dr. Steven Hill. In November 2020, the two clinics theyre combined into one rural health clinic with a new name, Willapa Medical Clinic.
Willapa Harbor Hospital has a 77-year history of being a community hospital – owned and governed by local citizens.
